About
Brian Montgomery is counsel in our Business Law Group. Brian is recognized for his expertise in all aspects of mining, corporate, real estate and business law.
A former partner and Head of the Corporate and Commercial Group at Weaver, Simmons LLP, Brian has acted as counsel to major Canadian corporations, boards of directors, and institutional shareholders. Brian’s strong leadership style gives great comfort to the client and allows him to focus on what is important in a deal and how to get it done.
Brian has a strong community focus in Sudbury. He has served on numerous boards including the YMCA, Sudbury and District Chamber of Commerce, Sudbury Theatre Centre, Idylwylde Golf and Country Club, and Greater Sudbury Utilities Inc. He is also a past president of the Sudbury Prospectors and Developers Association. He continues to sit as a member of the board of governors of Laurentian University, Health Sciences North Research Institute (HSNRI), Transition Metals Corporation, Sudbury Platinum Corporation and Art Gallery of Sudbury.
